What I want to learn/expect from class and 3 sites that inspire me

What I'd like to learn from this class is as much about coding and web site building as possible within a 4 month time span.  I expect to hopefully understand this information and to start building websites with ease the longer I've been doing them and to eventually do some web design for a job.  3 sites that I occasionally visit that inspire me are ESPN.com, Yahoo.com, and Youtube.com.  I would like to learn how to attach videos to a site that I build from scratch and various other things.
